I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Brown University. I also hold affiliations with the Annenberg Institute, the Wheelock Educational Policy Center, Blueprint Labs, the Brown University Population Studies and Training Center, and the National Bureau of Economic Research. I am a labor economist who studies the economics of education and crime. I received my Ph.D. from Boston University. Prior to my life as an economist, I spent four years as an active-duty enlisted soldier in the United States Army and one year as a Mathematics Educator in the Springfield, MA, public school system.Â
